St Patrick’s Day is nearly upon us and although celebrants don’t know much about the man for whom the holiday was named, the vibrant event praises the patron Irish Catholic – credited legend as he drove all the snakes out of Ireland! (Not literally! Just evangelisted the pagan Irish to Christianity).

Every year on March 17, millions around the world with a skerrick of Irish lineage and even those without (we are all guilty) celebrate St Patrick’s Day with a pint of Guinness in hand, and here at Room With Roses you don’t need to rely on the luck of the Irish to join in on the celebration.

Amid the festivities, from the 13th to 17th of March, don your green and avoid the crowded pubs as we choose to celebrate the holiday with a hint of sophistication accompanied by some of the best of Irish-inspired cuisine.

Our special St Patrick’s Day menu will include:

Entrée –

  • Loaded Potato Soup – creaming potato soup topped with crumbled bacon, cheese and sour cream

  • Irish Crab Cakes – with our own mayonnaise and side salad

Main Course –

  • Our Own Corned Beef – With colcannon, steamed greens and creamy Dijon mustard white sauce (GF)

  • Chicken and Leek Pie – with root vegetables

Dessert –

  • Irish Cream Pudding Parfait with Walnut Crunch – with Chantilly cream and berries (GF)
